desconfiguracion del servidor X

Hola compañeros, he tenido un pequeño percance al intentar instalar el paquete para las ATI que vienen el el cd de gl, ya que tengo una ATI Radeon 9550.

Al instalarlo, me ha petao del tó (la interfaz grafica solo) , y me sale en modo texto un archivo de error, el XFree86.0.log que tiene esto:

AB si alguien le ha ocurrido algo parecido, y como podría reconfigurarlo al estado anterior, no se una copia de seguridad que restablecer o algo así.
